New project name and our plans for the project launch
by Liz Millman - 14:34 on 30 April 2019
After some deliberation we are choosing to change the project name from Welsh Plains / Brethyn Cymreig, as we realise we are inventing a Welsh name for the cloth we are researching that probably never existed.
So the project name now agreed by the NLHF is:
'From Sheep to Sugar: Welsh Wool and Slavery'
Our next step is to officially launch the project and we have chosen to do this in Shrewsbury, which was a key place in the early part of our story and we are meeting in the Drapers Hall (which is now a posh boutique hotel with a restaurant).
