16/5/19 Catching up with Sue
by Liz Millman - 22:25 on 27 May 2019
Sue Collins is one of the project team and she was on our stand at Wonderwool.
Sue has three of her own sheep and is an active spinner and weaver.
We met today and had a long discussion about the research she has been doing, and moths. Yes moths! Apparently moths are a big problem to weavers and spinners and may have had some serious implications for the trade. If fabric was found to be faulty eg it had moth holes in it, it was forfeit to the Crown!
Sue will be writing up notes about her wider research to share here.
